About Me

I am a postdoctoral researcher at JILA, at the University of Colorado Boulder. I use a variety of analytical and numerical tools to investigate problems in astrophysics that (usually) involve plasmas, the most abundant phase of ordinary matter in the universe. During my PhD I studied topics ranging from magnetic reconnection, to waves, and turbulence, focusing in particular on these topics in weakly collisional, magnetized plasmas. This helps us understand environments like the intracluster medium of galaxy clusters and black hole accretion flows. You can read more about the kinds of problems that I work on here, or click here to see a list of publications.

If you are a CU undergraduate interested in research in these or related areas, feel free to reach out via email and I'd be happy to discuss potential problems that we can work on.
